Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He proposed at the campfire cabana at Camp Zephyr, where we had decided to start dating in the first place! Our photographer friend asked a few of the camp girls to get dressed up for a photoshoot, myself included. My friends guided me to the cabana where Adam and I first began dating, and it wasn’t until I saw him that I realized what was happening. It was magical!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
In all honesty, learning to trust God in all of it. All the little details can get absolutely chaotic! But as long as I lean on Him, I know it’ll turn out alright.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Chocolate and re-watching the Office!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
Joy is so sleek and efficient. I wish I could use it for every event I host!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Go through every detail. Even if it seems silly to change the names of categories and little bits like that, it’s so worth it. Customizing and giving it those personal touches is what helps a guest feel more welcome!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Joy is found through my faith in the Lord. Joy does last forever because our God is truly forever. Ultimately seeking Him and the things he provides for us in this world is what brings us Joy. He provides love, He provides community, and I think most importantly, He provided a Son and Spirit that lived, died, rose again and continues to live in the hearts of those who believe in Him and His Word.
