Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
I love the Biltmore House and the Biltmore Winery in Asheville, NC. Logan and I are both pass holders and visit the Biltmore Estate often. Every year we visit during the holidays to enjoy the lights, it’s my favorite time of the year! I love the trees full of lights down in the Antler Hill Village and I always want to take pictures, so we do every year. This time when taking pictures, Logan asked to take a few more photos and said he had a question to ask. If you know Logan, you know how he jokes. He has picked on me before by doing things like pretending to tie his shoes, so I didn’t believe that he really had a question. When Logan said he really did have a question and got down on one knee, I couldn’t believe it. After a lot of happy tears, kisses, and sheer shock I said, “Yes”! Or maybe, “Of course”! I still am not sure. It was extra special because both families got to share in the special moment, we had been with my family already at the Biltmore House, but Logan had coordinated with his family to be there in hiding to see the proposal. It was such a sweet surprise to get to share our joy with the whole family!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
We have really enjoyed meeting with all of our vendors! Everyone is so nice and they’re excited to be a part of our wedding day. We both loved our cake tasting with Nettie’s Bakery. (The owner/baker is such a friendly and wonderful person!) The cakes were so delicious we couldn’t decide on just one!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Paige: Logan! Logan is always so level and calm. When things do get a bit more stressful, he is the type of person to help mellow the situation. I’ve loved wedding planning and coordinating in general, it’s all fun activities for me! When the pressure is on, Logan is the perfect balance to my high energy.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
We love how customizable the site is, from how things are organized to what sections and information you want to include. The interface is beautiful on both a laptop and mobile device, which we really love.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
When people have asked the theme of the wedding, we only think of “fun”. Our relationship has been filled with so much joy and happiness and we have had so much fun together! That is what we want to share with our wedding guests. We feel like the love we share that is filled with joy, happiness and fun, is the foundation for what life long relationships are made of.
