Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Peter surprised me with a trip to Ramsgate. He jokingly proposed with a coffee tin lever, getting down on one knee and telling me how much he loved me. He asked me to marry him and I said, “Yes!” Then, he gave me the real, beautiful ring! We then spent the day on the beach, had waffles at the waffle house, along with a wonderful romantic weekend.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Every moment! From touring venues, deciding on a dress and suit, to the decor- everything has been so fun and exciting for us.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I plan and my fiance says, “Yes, dear!” I’m Joking! When we’re stressed we talk about it, find a solution, and sort it out. We don’t let the wedding take over our lives. It’s one exciting day but not the only day ahead. We are just looking forward to spending our lives together.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It is so much fun, we really love our site! It’s interactive, easy to use, and a fabulous way to invite our friends and family to share our wedding day with us.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Make it your own and have fun with it! Joy really brings together everything your day will entail, information about your friends and family, and about you as a couple.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Each day is a gift and should be spent being happy, joyful, and finding the good in each moment. Don’t let anyone steal your joy!
