Funny story. On the night of my birthday, he told me that night he had my ring and it was burning a hole in his pocket! I told him that he absolutely could not propose right then, I was in the process of getting ready for bed and taking off my makeup up! He was so worried about it being perfect, but I told him it didn’t have to be some big event, I just wanted it to be during the daytime so I could get some pictures! The next day, I had a few appointments to attend to and we had planned to go eat at the local restaurant around 5:00 that evening. I got back out to our river house around 4:30 and we just hung out inside for a bit waiting for one of my parent’s friend to join us. Around 5:15 Scott was rushing us all out the door because we were late leaving to eat which was pretty funny because we didn’t have a set schedule! As soon as we got outside, he dropped down on one knee and said, “What do you say?” I responded with, “You didn’t ask me anything!” It turns out that he was chasing the sunlight so we could have a couple pictures of our engagement. Luckily, my family was there to help capture this special moment!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
We are traveling to Banff, AB, Canada for our wedding. It’s been a fun process planning the travel part of our trip!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I’m just excited and happy to be going to an amazing location with my favorite people to wed my fiance!
