Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We woke up just as it was any other Friday morning. I had planned on giving our dog, Ellie, a bath before work. Ty offered to do it in my place if I would go for a quick flight with him in our plane. Just before taking off, he handed me a co-pilots knee pad with a map of the local area attached to it and two Lara bars in one of the side pockets. At first I thought it was odd, because he knows the area so well and we have GPS installed in the plane, but I didn’t want to question it. I strapped on the knee pad and off we went!
We flew over our house toward Mara Mountain. We looped back once over the mountain and saw where Ty had been sledding in the snow with a friend the day before. At that point he said “I can’t hear you, the batteries in my headset are dying. Can you grab a spare set from the pocket on your side?” Not knowing which pocket he was referencing, I went through a couple before noticing one closed on my knee pad. I opened it up, pulled out a slender black box and to my surprise it wasn’t spare batteries. It was a gorgeous diamond engagement ring! I glanced down onto the side of the mountain where he had been sledding the day prior and saw “Marry Me?” written in the snow with blue food dye! At that moment, Ty asked me to marry him and I sat there in complete astonishment, crying with intense happiness, forgetting we were flying all together.

Buying my wedding dress!

We capped our guest list off at 32 people!
