After six months of staying in the same hostel and studying the same classes, Abhishek approached Anu for the first time when he needed help with marketing lessons. She was so nervous and yet proud of herself – Abhishek, the super studious guy, wants her to teach him! So she went back and taught herself the lessons first and made detailed notes (which made a lasting impression on Abhishek later). While studying together, they started talking and their friendship grew. There was no filter, no inhibitions, they would just keep talking. In fact, for one of their exams, she lost track of time, almost missed the deadline and flunked… almost! Abhishek proposed suddenly and Anu was in shock! She slid under the table (Yes. That was her reaction.) Bottomline, she did come up and say, “Yes!” That’s how their story of love began, which has only been growing stronger by the day.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Anu loved selecting the outfits they would wear. It was her dream to buy a designer dress for her wedding and she had been saving for this! So she searched all of Delhi, traveled to another city for a day, and traveled around Dubai just to ensure she will shine brightly on her big day.
Abhishek loved to delegate and chill. He made sure everyone in his family had their share of responsibilities and every responsibility was delegated to someone!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We plan well. Every task is jotted down in the beginning and has a set timeline that we, and family, follow. Everyone stays very well connected to make sure everything is up to date. Most of all, we have our lovely parents to thank. They are the ones driving our marriage, so we don’t feel much pressure at all!

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
We think it’s an amazing platform, we love every section! The travel section really suits us since we have guests traveling from different parts of the world. We also love how easily it translates into the app. It’s very unique, easy to use and effective! We highly recommended Joy.
