Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We were visiting Morgan’s family in California when we decided to go for a hike. We got to the top of a mountain and Albin pulled Morgan over next to the waterfall where we could see all of South Lake Tahoe. He told her to look out over the view while he changed lenses on his camera. He was taking a while so she turned around and he was on one knee. He told her he couldn’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together, through the mundane and the wild adventures!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Learning about different cultures! Albin is from Sweden and Morgan is American. It is so much fun to learn the different cultures and try to blend them together, in a way that reflects us both.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We are taking equal roles in the planning process, which helps immensely. We divide up the responsibilities based on who is better at what. For example, Morgan is better with art and design, Albin is better at negotiating with people. We are also very organized, with a month-by-month to-do list. When all that fails, we have wine!
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
We love how user-friendly it is! We also love the customer service. We asked them a question and they responded in two minutes. Two minutes!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Don’t be afraid to customize! We are using the “Q & A” section to inform our guests of the cultural differences between Sweden and the USA. We see the page titles as guidelines to help spark more creative ideas.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
The wedding is just an awesome excuse to have a party with our family and friends. We will always stay focused on our marriage and how we can continue to make each other happy!
