Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
It was the coldest day in February! I just got off a plane coming from Florida so we went to get lunch and take a walk like we normally do in Lincoln Park. I guess I lead him exactly to the spot he wanted to propose and before I knew it, he was down on one knee. I was completely in shock!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Asking our future wedding party to stand next to us on our big day! I sent my girls a box with a balloon in it. When they popped it, confetti came out with a little note asking them to be my bridesmaid. For the guys, we had custom beer labels made with Tyler’s goofy face on them asking to be his groomsmen. We took one of our good friends to a BYOB restaurant. We had a custom wine label made with a poem asking her to marry us. When she looked at the label, she instantly teared up. It was a really great moment to experience!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
It’s hard and it’s usually the little things that really get to us. You just have to tell yourself that it will pass, move on, and drink a bottle of wine!
