Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
For my birthday he arranged a suite at the Willard Hotel as a surprise. When I walked in there were roses, champagne, my favorite nighttime snacks (I don’t admit to actually eating ever), and a card. In the card he wrote he couldn’t wait for us to spend the rest of our lives together and when I turned around he had the ring in his hand. He had booked my favorite small restaurant after and then to a live show across from the hotel, and all weekend in the City!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Looking at all of the gorgeous options for glasses to toast with, and setting up a scene that seems like a dream outdoor relaxation venue.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Crying a lot? Just kidding! Remembering I already have the right person, so the rest is really just a big party at the end of the day, and everyone loves parties.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
The ease of Joy already prepping the questions I didn’t know to ask for the RSVPs and transportation!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Ask questions! The messaging feature is so easy to get a quick answer to a question instead of just staring at the screen.
