Joy Proposal Story: Emily & John

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

One sleepy Saturday morning he teasingly produced a little black box. This little box made me cry and laugh all at once. I knew we would never be apart and we had each found our counterparts in which we would weather all storms, and cuddle until the end of our days! That is after he realized he forgot to even ask the question, but it was a given anyways!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Planning an awesome party and knowing we are counting down to what is going to be one of the most amazing days of our lives.

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

Wine. Also, keeping it as low key as possible. We are doing our best to not get caught up in expectations and the flurry of it all.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

It has been very user-friendly and the templates are really lovely. Plus if you need help with anything the messenger box is super helpful.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Start early! Don’t wait until the last minute to set up your site because as the day gets closer, you have more and more to worry about. Plus, your guests will really enjoy having a place to see photos and get information without pestering you for it!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Joy is having true happiness in your life that is not fickle or wasting. Even through the tough stuff, you have a person who will always have your back and fight for you even if they may not agree with you. Seeing that person smile, hearing them laugh, and feeling it flow through your whole body. That smile that creeps across your face when you think of your significant other, that’s joy.
