How did the two of you meet?
We went to elementary school together. Although having numerous mutual friends growing up, we didn’t hit it off until much later in life. After college, we ran into each other at a local pub called Kells, after spending hours catching up, Brenden asked me to go to a concert the next night. From then on we were inseparable!
Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Brenden asked me to take a couple days off work to watch the solar eclipse last summer. He woke me up on Friday morning and told me my bags were packed and our lift was on its way. He didn’t tell me where we were going until we got to the airport and we checked in at the Hawaiian Airlines counter. We checked in at the Four Seasons in Oahu. At sunset, we took a walk on the beach and Brenden proposed. A photographer Brenden had hired jumped out of the bushes shouting, “She said yes!” and captured the special moment.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
It’s all been pretty fun! I’ve really enjoyed wedding dress shopping and touring venues.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I hired a wedding planner! He’s been amazing. We couldn’t plan a wedding in Italy without him.
