Joy Proposal Story: Jye & Jack

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

Jack told me that we were going out to lunch at Frogmore Creek Vineyard and that he had organized a surprise for me beforehand. I was pestering him constantly to give away anything about the surprise and his answer was, “You have to be ready at 10:30 and all you can bring is a hairbrush.” What kind of a hint was that?! Finally, the day arrived. I had a small panic attack as 10:30 approached. We were waiting at Jack’s parent’s house in Newtown when a van came and picked us up.”Is this a surprise?” The driver asked. Jack replied,”Sure is!” Everyone was in on the surprise except me! We drove in the direction of the airport and pulled into where the small planes and helicopters flew from.

Jack organized a surprise helicopter ride! The weather was rainy and overcast so we didn’t end up seeing all of Hobart by helicopter but we still flew around the Eastern Shore of Hobart then back to the airport. The pilot let us know that we would be flying into Frogmore Creek, WOW! I looked out the window at all the vineyards in the area, I turned my head back to look at Jack and he mouthed something to me. I was so confused because I couldn’t hear him. “Huh? What do you want?” I said with a very puzzled expression. I looked down at his hands and there was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. Jack had asked me to marry him on a helicopter! I answered so fast, “Yes, yes, yes, yes!” I was shaking from excitement and tears began to fill my eyes, I was so happy. When we landed into Frogmore Creek I could see his parents, my Dad and my Mother there waiting for us very excited.
