Joy Proposal Story: Kallie & Jeremy

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

Jeremy knows family means everything to me. April 7th, 2018, he planned a huge family dinner at my grandparents. There, he said the blessing and lead into how much it meant to have me and be apart of the family because he’s never really had one. He talked about how he wanted to feel this way forever and he then he dropped to one knee!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

My favorite things so far have been making my wedding website, coming up with my hashtag, and just being able to design things how I want them to look!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

When you feel like the pressures of your wedding collapsing in on you, the best way to stay sane is to remember why you’re doing it in the first place. Wedding’s are awesome and so much fun (and stressful) to plan. The whole reason you are having a wedding is because of your love for one another and wanting to spend forever together. I stay sane by looking at Jeremy and remembering that it’s a time for us to proclaim our love for one another.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

My favorite part of Joy is being able to adjust everything how I want. Changing colors, templates, fonts, you name it. You get to personalize it and make it fit you.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

Play with it, click every button you can, and read the FAQ’s if you’re not sure of how to do something. Lastly, make it you and have fun with it!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Joy is everything to us, weddings are meant to have joy! Joy helps organize, promote and maintain the joy a bride should have on her special day.
