Joy Proposal Story: Kristin & Mollie

Joy Proposal Story: Kristin & Mollie

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

Kristin is from Iowa, Mollie from Texas. We traveled to visit Kristin’s family in Iowa and on the last day of a two-week stay, Kristin took Mollie to an old mill in the woods (gorgeous!) and told Mollie to stand so she could take a picture. When Mollie turned around Kristin was on one knee! It was gorgeous, adorable, romantic and fun. And Kristin surprised Mollie by flying her sister/best friend up to celebrate the proposal!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Going to a bridal show with our “engayged” shirts on and sitting on our backyard patio with our laptops planning all the things!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

It’s just been fun! Kristin and I do everything together so nothing is one-sided, neither of us gets too stressed.

What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?

We love the look of Joy and how easy it to use! Plus, it doesn’t look like everyone else’s website. We tried Zola, WeddingWire, the Knot and we just weren’t impressed with them. So Mollie went on a search of the best and luckily found you! We love Joy.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?

I’m not sure, we’re still working up our website- we’re still noobs!

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Happiness is a fleeting feeling but you can always fill a marriage with joy. If I want my marriage and heart to be full of anything, I want it to be full of joy.
