Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Our families are really important to the both of us, so Anthony incorporated that into his proposal. He proposed in front of both of our families at my parent’s house. It happened to be Memorial Day Weekend, and my family usually gets together for most holidays, so I had no suspicions. Little did I know, everyone else was in on it! It was so special to share that moment surrounded by all of our closest loved ones.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
It takes a team to plan a wedding and I’ve been lucky enough to have such a supportive family that has helped me through every step of the process. I love spending time with them, and wedding planning gives us even more of a reason to be together more often!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
By checking items off my list! As most brides can attest to, wedding planning can be all-consuming and super stressful. Breaking things down into more sizable tasks has helped keep me focus without getting too overwhelmed.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
I love the aesthetic of Joy’s site. It’s so simple and elegant, yet user-friendly at the same time. I love that I can share as many or few details as I prefer, and that it includes an app feature, too! I’m also really looking forward to using Joy as a platform for guests to shares photos from the wedding!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions or even suggest new features. Joy is constantly developing its platform based on users’ feedback. I love revisiting the site and seeing all the new features!
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Even though a wedding is a very special event, couples shouldn’t lose sight of what’s important. I’ve heard so many people say that their wedding day went by in an instant. I’m trying not to sweat the small stuff and look forward to the lifetime ahead with my future husband!
