Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
I proposed to Alicia at my go-away gathering. It was in December prior to moving into our new place in California. I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to propose since our parents and all of our close friends and family were in the same vicinity. She had no clue (no one had a clue) as to why I stood up to make a toast. They all thought I was giving a goodbye toast. in reality I shocked them all with the question. I did ask her parents for her hand in marriage prior to me proposing publicly.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Well, we are now planning on Joy and it has been a big help and pleasure. And it’s FREE!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We make sure that we stick to the budget and swear by it. Stay true to ourselves since we are not much about looks or what people think. We live within our means, and find things that are very shabby chic and DIY with a touch of elegance and voila.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It is very simple and to the point. Very helpful with suggestive questions.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
