How did the two of you meet?
We met once through a mutual friend and I didn’t think that we would ever see each other again. A year later, we ran into each other at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
How long have you been together?
6 years!

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
In 2014, as a graduation trip we went to Key West, FL to celebrate with a group of our family and friends. We went out to dinner and while we were eating he went to the restroom. I didn’t think anything of it until I saw 1-2 more people going to the restroom. I thought it was odd but continued to socialize with my friends. When Steve came back he had a ring and he asked me in front of our family and friends, “Will you Marry me?”.

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Getting the venue of my vision! It was a bit difficult to find in Florida but we ended up finding a vintage/rustic-ish vibe. The venue provides a beautiful outdoor waterfall backdrop for the ceremony and an old barn for the reception.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
I let my husband do all of the negotiations with the vendors.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
