Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
After I received my diploma at my graduation ceremony, my family insisted on taking a myriad of photos on campus. (A bit of a tradition at this point since both of my sisters had graduated from OSU before me). While taking pictures outside of University Hall, Tim turned and dropped on one knee to pop the question!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
I’ve discovered that Tim and I are uniquely in sync with each other, and have more similar tastes and desires than I even realized. It still amazes me how we will gravitate towards the same things without having to discuss it with each other first!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
A lot of time to relax together! Hiking and exploring breweries around Columbus are probably our favorite things to do together, and we’re always looking for places we can explore with our dog, Oliver.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It’s so easy to use! Not all of our guests are super tech-savvy, so having a straightforward wedding site was important to us. Joy definitely offers a more user-friendly platform than anything else we’ve seen while still offering a lot of ways to customize the site.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Don’t be afraid to jump in and customize things! It’s unique and nearly impossible to screw up, unlike other wedding sites. Don’t be afraid to tweak things until you’re completely satisfied.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
Our wedding is just the beginning of our life together! We have already proven that we can help one another find the joy in life through the difficult times. The joy we have will continue to carry us through!
