Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We took the day off work to go blueberry picking, but it was too hot. So, we had a picnic in the living room of my apartment. We went to the restaurant we visited on our first date and actually pretended to be on a first date at the restaurant. Afterward, we took a gondola ride and I just knew it was coming! Randomly, after the ride, David made a trip to H&M to buy shorts. Which by the way, he hates wearing shorts. Later, we went to sit in front of the JC Nicholas fountain, a historic landmark in Kansas City. But more important and historic to us because this is where David asked Morgane to be his girlfriend. He proposed in front of the fountain as Morgane’s family watched. David gave Morgane a book explaining everything he wanted to say. As their favorite Sam Smith song, Latched, played in the background, Morgane read the book. When she looked over, David was on one knee. It was an easy, “Yes!”

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Food, cake and drink tasting of course! That’s obviously the best part.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Spending time together helps with the stress of the wedding. Also, just knowing in the end, we will be married!
