Joy Proposal Story: Natalia & Adrian

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?

He proposed while on our vacation in the Bahamas. We booked a full-day excursion to go to small, uninhabited, private island called Rose Island. We booked it for the day before we had to fly back home. We had no luck with the weather all week, so I was pretty bummed out!  On the day of our excursion. we had awesome, hot and sunny weather! I know he was relieved as he did not want to even attempt to propose to me if I was in a bad mood, haha! So, it worked out for both of us! After we saw swimming pigs at the beach (which was my dream) he took me for a walk to an even more secluded area where he got down on his knee, asked me if I would marry him and gave me rose gold diamond ring. So, I got a rose gold engagement ring on Rose Island! Needless to say, rose gold is part of my wedding theme!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?

Planning! It’s challenging and sometimes I want to scream but I like to plan and see my vision come true with our wedding website, the party decor I am creating, and the ideas I have for my engagement. The only thing I don’t enjoy is the trivial stuff like collecting e-mails, addresses, and stupid little things that you have to deal with before you get to the more creative part!

How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?

I have just started and I believe that since I am planning a Caribbean destination wedding, I will have a lot less to worry about. Simply put, I won’t have many options for decor, music, venues, photos etc. in comparison to the options, possibilities, and opportunities that I would have if my wedding were in Canada. My wedding will be smaller because of it’s location, therefore I hope a lot easier to handle. And if I am wrong, there is always drinking I can turn to, LOL!
