How did the two of you meet?
We met both working for Disney. Aaron started working part-time on the events team, and I was one of the managers. So, I was Aaron’s boss!
How long have you been together?
Just over a year and a half, although we knew each other for a little bit longer.

Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Our first date was at a local bar. We decided to just meet up for a drink, since I was working a late event. We shared our first kiss as we said goodnight. Exactly a year later, I had a late event again, and we met up for a drink after work at the same bar. We talked about favorite memories from the past year and Aaron said that our first date was one of his favorite memories! He proposed in the same spot as our first kiss stating he wanted another favorite memory in the same spot on the same date. I was completely shocked and not expecting Aaron to pop the question that night, but did say yes!!

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Learning each of our unique styles, and well as our individual strengths.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Making sure to have fun along the way. If we do ever get stressed, taking time away from the planning to be with each other, like going on a walk or to a park to just enjoy each other’s company.
We share a joy and love that we want to take with us for the rest of our lives.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
I love how easy it is to navigate and I love that guests can upload photos throughout the wedding day. It will be fun to see them! I also love the RSVP feature. Although we sent out invitations, we are giving our Guests the option to RSVP through the app. It’s a quick and easy way for our guests to communicate.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
We just started using it, but there is so much in it to offer. Make sure to explore all of its features!
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
We put so much time and dedication into making one perfect day, but a wedding is more than just that day. It marks the beginning of a new life and journey that we are going to make together! We share a joy and love that we want to take with us for the rest of our lives.
