Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
We always try to go somewhere new for our birthdays, this year we happened to celebrate in Lisbon. Long story short, he couldn’t find any great spot to propose so he proposed in our apartment right after the trip! (We recently moved in together.) Apparently, he’d prepared everything before we left on Friday (red roses on the bed, romantic lighting). He kneeled down and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said, “Yes!”

What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Spending time looking for a planner, visiting venues and vendors, and picking our wedding theme. Also, figuring out that we (luckily) have the same taste!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
Always keep in touch and communicate the concerns you have with your partner. If possible, do the same with your wedding planner! Also, pamper yourself! That always works.

What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Make sure you have photos that describe special moment with your partner. You don’t need to have professional photos taken but getting a local photographer for an hour session doesn’t hurt! You will have something to smile back at in 50 years.
