Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
I had organized a big 40th for Justin at our property. There was live music, a spit roast, and his whole family was there. As the night slowed down and a handful of us stood around outdoor fire pits having a laugh, remembering the party, Justin got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was beautiful!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
Finding the perfect venue just five minutes from home. It’s a huge ski lodge built in the 60’s, where up to 30 of our guests can stay with us!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
If I start to get anxious about any of the plans, Justin quietly reminds me that the only thing that matters is that we will be married and all our family and friends will be around us. The rest is just details. I am instantly calmed.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
My favorite part about using Joy is making up my guest list knowing I can invite everyone with the click of a button! How easy is that?? The fun will really start when our guests get involved and are able to send messages and really contribute to the website and app.
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Explore the fonts, colors, and themes. I liked being able to view the website and app as I played around with all the options! I could see the changes and find the look that I really liked.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
I hope the pure joy we experience on our wedding day spreads into our future. It will just be one of the many happy memories we share together!
