Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He took me to see the total eclipse in Missouri. As an ex-science teacher and lover of all things space, he had been anticipating the eclipse for years! During the eclipse, when we could take off our glasses, he told me about how our love was like the beautiful eclipse. He got down on one knee and proposed. He followed up the proposal with a picnic lunch in a field beside a lovely old farmhouse!
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
I have really enjoyed looking at venues together and imagining a day filled with loved ones and fun!
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We stay distracted by doing research and writing for the Ph.D. programs that we are both students in.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
It is comprehensive and very user-friendly!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Take the time to sit down together to recall the stories and reminisce about dating life.
At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?
We are more excited about marriage and starting a family than the actual wedding. We look forward to having a great party and beautiful ceremony, but we can’t wait to do life together!
