Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
Ikenna proposed at the W Hotel in Barcelona. We were in town for a friend’s wedding, which we also utilized for a little vacation time out of Lagos. It was the end of our trip and while I was hoping he would propose, I somewhat gave up because we were leaving the next day and the proposal hadn’t happened. After dinner, we were supposed to go up to the top floor for dancing. Instead, Ikenna insisted that we go outside, somewhere quieter. At that point, I was unsure why he was prolonging the evening because we needed to get upstairs by 12 am. Nonetheless, I followed him outside and sat down. He started smiling as he normally does, but this was a different kind of smile. He asked me to trade seats with him (which completely threw me off). As I began to walk around the table, he was down on one knee, asking me to be his wife!
