Give us the proposal details! When? Where? How?
He told me we were going somewhere warm for vacation, but no further details. We got to LAX and the man handed us our tickets to Bora Bora (this was the moment I found out where we were going)! On the second day on the island, he asked me if I wanted to continue to see the world as his husband while we stood in our private balcony in our overwater bungalow at Le Meriden Bora Bora.
What has been your favorite experience planning the wedding?
So far. it’s getting to see how we have to compromise on colors schemes and overall wedding feel. It’s actually coming together better because the wedding is going to be a true representation of our two styles coming together.
How do you stay sane under the pressures of wedding planning?
We’ve both already told each other that something will go wrong on the day of the wedding so there’s no point in worrying about making it perfect! It may sound cynical but it’s a reminder that the wedding isn’t about creating a perfect day, but a joyous one.
What is your favorite part of using Joy for your wedding?
The blue and copper theme is perfect for our wedding!
What piece of advice would you give couples to ensure that they use Joy to its fullest potential?
Start writing the details right away. We’ve definitely gotten behind on that.
