Describe Hope Couture Bridal, what makes you stand apart from similar companies?

Hope Couture Bridal specializes in making custom bridal veils, hairpieces and wedding accessories. Our design studio is located in Denver, Colorado, where we meet with clients in a casual bridal boutique atmosphere and make all of our accessories to order. Whether you have a clear vision or don’t know where to begin, our team will work with you through the design process to create a unique and inspired wedding accessory for your special day!

How did you start making custom bridal veils, hairpieces and wedding accessories? Are you self-taught or formally trained in your field?

I studied at Colorado State University and The London College of Fashion. After receiving my degree in Apparel Design and Business Management, I began working in the Outdoor Industry, forging a successful career in Product Development. Seven years ago, a close friend approached me with a last minute request for her wedding—she wanted to wear a veil! Up for the challenge, I handmade a beautiful veil and with it, a new passion was born. In the intervening years, I have worked closely with many brides to facilitate the creation of their dream looks. In 2014, I began my exit from the outdoor world, putting the pieces in place to devote more time and attention to my passion as a Bridal Designer. In April of 2017, I made the transition to full-time work designing and creating wedding accessories for brides around the world!

What’s been your favorite experience while working in the wedding industry? What do you love most about working with brides?

Seeing pictures! Or, if I’m at the wedding, seeing all the small details and how they come together. I love being able to help people make their dreams come true.

What piece of advice would you give brides and grooms? (This can include tips about preparation or anything else.)

Remember to have fun! If it’s not fun, why do it? Planning a wedding is stressful but finding the joy in each moment is so important. Embrace the love.

What are your favorite wedding trends right now?

I love that it is okay to not be “trendy”. I have seen so many brides design their wedding for themselves, making it unique and personal. Not staying true to the norms, but creating an event that showcases the couple’s personality.

How do you think an app like Joy can help make weddings better?

The app streamlines so many of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding! It allows the couple to enjoy the process leading up to their special day.

If you weren’t making custom bridal veils, hairpieces and wedding accessories, what would you be doing?

Living on the beach, watching the sunset every evening with my co-pilot/ dog, Gatchet.

At Joy we believe that even though a wedding lasts a day, joy lasts forever. What does that mean to you?

Life is all about experiences. It’s the moments that create memories and the memories are what we ultimately are left with.
